A buddy of mine just bought and installed a Rotel A14 integrated. It has phono, a 24/192/DSD DAC, bluetooth, subwoofer out, remote, and 80 wpc. $1400.We listened to all the inputs driving a pair of Bryston Mini A speakers and were knocked out how good Lps, and digital files sounded. He may want to add a subwoofer, but that is it. The whole system costs about $3500.
I would say that you just can't beat a really good full function integrated amp when you have a limited budget and limited space. Spending a ton on hifi to me is starting to make no sense.
Great sounding piece of gear.
