having had a number of the earlier luxmans they do make a heck of a quality product. They were known as the McIntosh's of the east. Good audiophile level solid sound and a sweet look to boot!
Or if you are looking into smooth tube like sound and you do have $6k I would also look into the NEW! McIntosh's. They have a softer robust sound quality that you can listen too all day long. Also killer looks.
