Hi everyone. I have a JC2 pre that I am having a problem with and I am looking for some help.
The pre was sent to The Upgrade Co. before I got it and I am the second owner.
When using the unbalanced inputs from my Cd player, everything sounds great. But I decided to try the balanced inputs and the sound stage shifts very far to the left side. I have tried 3 sets of balanced cables and all are the same. You can use the balance control to offset the shift but that doesn't seem natural to have to move it that far to correct it.
I am wanting to sell it but I don't want to sell anything that isn't working as I think that it should be.
I guess that if you only use the unbalanced ins all would be ok, but I would like to know where to start to try to fix the problem.
