Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

I am considering one of these preamps so I have a couple of questions.
First is the Mk I or Mk II the more desirable, well-regarded model and why?
Second--dumb question--since this is a line stage or "LS" designated model am I correct in assuming that even though it has a "Phono" source selection, it will require the turntable be connected to a separate phono pre amp prior to input to the LS-25?
Many thanks,
George
