Don't buy separates. Buy an integrated.
Integrateds are wildly popular now and with good reason. They give you way more bang for the buck.
The new Peachtree Nova 150 (which is just shipping for the first time this week) is getting a LOT of buzz (see link).
I like the Exposure integrateds a lot, I use one on Harbeths in my office system. Build like a tank, lots of power, very stable into low impedance loads, great sound. It's my favorite of the British integrateds and there are a LOT of British integrateds.
