If alcohol isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) is good. Use 99.9%. Can be bought at drugstore sometimes have to ask pharmacist.
Note that even just the action of taking out the jumpers and putting back in without any cleaning will help somewhat. Even without a cleaner in case you don't have any around. Maybe this is something you can try without major disassembly.
