RE: OPPO 105 Direct to Amp, Bi-amp Complication

Do you already own the OPPO BDP-105D? If so, you can experiment and find out whether or not it will work the way you want.

My stereo system is integrated with my video system, but I use 2.1 channels for both. I have never felt the need for more than two channels and a subwoofer. I place my subwoofer against a wall behind my listening position about the same distance from my ears as my front speakers. It seems to blend perfectly. I don't use the crossover in the BDP-105D. My front speakers run full range and my powered sub has its own internal crossover set for 80-Hz low-pass.
