IMO , the CX models lack the drive capability of past Krells, that aside they do have a better top end presentation. As to the Dryness and hardness comments by MF, not difficult to do on WA speakers, they tend to be very sensitive to amplifiers, most will sound hard with a dry presentation on most WA speakers i have heard.
Remember MF canned the Bricasti's amplifiers on this same setup ...
