In addition to the O/B PS for the 3-
there are more caps in both the PS and the main Pre-amp-
The PS uses a Torroidal x-former - as opposed to the Old E-I for the 2
The CD And DAT inputs are wired from the back board(jacks) to the front selector PCB with 10 Meg Ohm resisters in the signal path-
there were plans for a DAC PCB to go along the left side of the Pre-amp
The basic circuit is the same from the 2 to the 3- with lots of parts changes- the RIAA caps were a bunch of German PolyPros that were hand matched. New Vol Pots, totally new Tape Loop/buffer stage
the filaments are always on with the 3, and reduced plate voltage till you turn it on-
the coupling caps were made for AI as were the Big filtering caps-
the 3 could accommodate a John Curl designed SS MC phono stage - which was quite good
