I run a similar set up with a second receiver. You will encounter a drop in gain but you can use the second amp's volume control to adjust. In my case, I run two sets of speakers so I use a Niles speaker selector box and it's volume control - leaving the second receiver volume as a constant ( unless I want to really turn it up).
