Tape out/ pre out

Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

Does tape out do the same thing as pre out? I currently use the pre out on my preamp to a secondary integrated to run my outside speakers. If I moved to an integrated with tape out would it still work plugged into my secondary integrated to run my outside speakers? Make sense?
