I wouldn't be surprised if both companies are sharing the same basic chassis design to save on tooling costs.On a related note here are two companies that used different chassis but identical innards. Years ago around 2002 time frame when Parasound came out with their $599 Halo T3 Tuner, Magnum Dynalab came out with their $999 DT-5. This was Magnum's first 'synthesized' tuner among their product line of all fully analog tuners.
Note the identical connectors, inputs, outputs, etc on the rear panel of the Parasound and Magnum. It appears that Magnum was OEMing the tuner innards from Parasound, putting it in their chassis, and charging $400 more.
