The GL really - REALLY brought back the "music" to the preamp. The stock EH were on the grainy. And overall the music sounded like music being played through a really good stereo. But not at all real. If that makes ANY sense?
The GL Genalex makes the music sound more like real music. It brings out the good qualities of a tubed preamp/SS amp system.
