You know, for about 700$ you can get the OUTLAW Receiver. plenty of power unless you are eviction / raid minded with great quality and features. FM is not quite dead, yet!
including bass management so you can easily add a sub.
A DAC can be had for 200$ or so and careful looking at the pre-owned stuff may yield a good deal.
