No hum here with ARC, Rogue, Ayre, Oppo, PS Audio, Sony, etc. All of my gear just happens to be plugged into one AC outlet source. I'm not saying that's the reason why I have no hum but I can pretty much mix n match gear w/o any issues.... all day long.
- Does the ARC cause hum when plugged into any other amp?
- Does the amp ever hum on it's own just sitting there with no preamp attached?
- Does the amp ever hum with other sources attached, other than the ARC?
- Have you tried powering the ARC/Rogue off the same outlet?
- Have you tried 'floating' the ground on one of the unit's AC power?
- Have you tried running the ARC off an isolation transformer or AC power regenerator?
It's really a methodical process of elimination.
