The tranni is 300VA @ 40-0-40. It will deliver 3.75A. It does look small against the massive caps. When I had the PS finished I powered it up to test it. But when I turned it off it did not discharge. So I got a 100ohm 10W resistor to discharge it. Instead of a spark I could draw out a long blue flame. And it made a fluttering sound. I have never seen anything like this before.
The caps have Sili-pads on the bottom to allow bolting to heatsinks. As I said I'm not sure if the caps are part of the sound but if music is playing and I turn the amp off it runs for about another 30seconds! The caps are very low ESR types.
