I heard there was an ex-BK employee that was doing repairs and had a stash of spare parts in the northeast somewhere but when I finally got hold of him (looking for the emails now...it was a couple of years ago) he told me he wasn't doing it any longer.

If there is anyone that can do component level diagnosis at least on the east coast (shipping considerations) I would be tempted to send my reference 50 off to him.
