I've owned and loved a number of NAD components over the past ten years or so. They offered great value, simple but functional aesthetics and good (if not slightly dark) sound.
When it came to replace my T763 AV receiver, I ended up buying an Emotiva processor and five channel power amp for about the same as I paid for the NAD receiver - $1500. Yet, the Emo gear provides additional functionality, more power and sounds as good or better.
They've kinda lost their way.
