At one time I was going to buy the C375BEE while it was at that price. I wasn't in a hurry to buy it so I put it off for only one month. When I went to order it, it was $1500. Shocked - as I was, I decided to pass on it.
There is a point where you know you are being taken advantage of. And I see that MANY times in audio.
As for the SE models. You can either suck it up an pay the extra money. Or do the upgrades yourself. In my case with the Conrad Johnson 2SE I went for the factory upgrade. Mainly because I NEVER want to see the inside of a stereo again! I'm in listening mode!!!!
