The Rotel 1552 Mk11 has more gain & better input sensitivity of 1.5 volts but would be much better at 1 volt, I do not find it soft in the bass. Overall I find 1552 MK 2 so much better than the Goldmund-Job 225 other than the input sensitivity issue the latter is .75 volt best especially if you put TV sound through the Hi-Fi setup or use the pre-out of a AVR into a stereo amp.for front speakers in a surround sound system.
