I had the PV-14L many years ago and I enjoyed it for it's versatility with full-function remote in a modestly priced entry model CJ linestage.Sure, it had a wonderful discrete resistor switched volume control but it didn't help the fact that the PV-14L was rolled off at both extremes. Weak bass and not much treble extension.
If you go for an upgrade, we'd love to hear back on what was done and how it improved on the PV-14L's limitations. Good luck!
