ARC SP8 vs C32

Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

I am currently using a McIntosh C32 pre-amp with a MC2205 power-amp. My local dealer(hi-fi dealer) has a ARC SP 8 that I can afford. It has new tubes and has been checked over thoroughly. Is this a worthy upgrade over my McIntosh? It has the phono pre. Please share any thoughts. I like the McIntosh stuff, but have been looking to get tubes in my system. I thought I would go tube power amp but this is available now.
