Tube headphone amp with a solid state phono preamp?

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

I'm thinking of buying a headphone amp. I am looking at a tube amp, the Valhalla 2 by Schiit. I would be connecting it to a solid state Graham Slee phono preamp. Can I use a tube amp with a solid state preamp and get the full benefits of a tube amp or would I be better off spending less money and getting a solid state headphone amp?
