Please enlighten the ignorant hi-fi addict:
Does a "phono stage" mean that it should be connected either to a line level preamplifier (which, in turn, is connected to a power amp) or to an integrated amplifier which does not have an MM/MC input?
In addition to two or more integrateds with 3 line inputs, I also have two or three power amplifiers with output controls to which the CDP is connected directly (a very convenient and cost-effective feature, but it has its own limitations).
A am considering a LITE CT3 vacuum tube MM/MC Phono Stage (http://www.china-hifi-audio.com/en/lite-audio-dac-phono-stage-mm-mc-c-41) - it's a rather heavy unit (8.5 kg) for a phono stage and should sound good, but it is not a pre-amplififier?
Thanks for clarifications.
