Meh

Part 1
Part 2

I had one in 2007. It's certainly well-built, and looks very nice in silver. However, certain facets left me disappointed.

Do be aware that the KAV-2250 uses a 20-amp IEC jack. Thus, you'll need a 20A powercord, or at least an adapter.

The KAV-2250 runs warm. You will need to provide some space above the unit, for ventilation.

I didn't care for the KAV-2250's treble. Regardless of which sources, preamps, interconnects, powercords, PLCs we used, the KAV-2250 imposed itself on the treble. Treble wasn't as transparent, clean, tactile, accurate as it should have been.

Go listen to The Motels' "Suddenly Last Summer," with its f----- up treble. The Krell KAV-2250 imposes that on everything passing through.
