I've experienced the same loudness problem in my office system.
The Rogue Sphinx has a One Volt Input Sensitivity, but Marantz UD 7007 has 2 Volt Output.
Rogue was way too loud way too fast.
I'm going to try a Marantz Int Amp with 1.7 V Input, and .5 db Volume Control Increments, and it has Volume Trim, and even an Attenuator , so I'm hoping that will tailor it to the room.
It seems to be easier to fill up a big room, than scale down for a small one.
My speakers are Kef R 300, also Sensitive.
Maybe less sensitive speakers would be good for small room.
Also, please give me an Album Title for Techno that you like, thanks.
