I own both a Carver Professional ZR500 and a ZR1600. I and multiple friends use them for full range high-res audio. I have owned both modified tube and solid state amps. Based upon our collective opinions, the Carver Pro ZR series are simply outstanding. Get one and you will be amazed like we were. You will hear things you never heard before, all good. A friend just got a ZR1600 for his Maggie's. He spent the first evening in amazement. Just like I did with my custom Diaural speakers. Not even broken in yet.How good? The best!!!
Value? Unbelievable - The megabucks amps make good boat anchors.Hints - push the micro switch buttons to disable the volume control and hook it up to a good preamp, active or passive. And then, and then prepared to be amazed!!!!!!!!!
