You may have multiple hookup issues. What make and model of equipment are you using? That will help. I don't know what is going on with your CD player, but a turntable cannot be plugged directly into an AUX input. A turntable requires a phono input with a ground connection to elimiate the hum. Are you using an external phono preamp or trying to do directly into the AUX ports?
