If Cary had issues, you'd know. People would talk about it (here). We know that an unhappy customer tells ten whereas a happy customer tells one. When you read the posts about Cary products they are good. They have been for many years. No company is mistake free.
Also the best thing to do service-wise if you can't/prefer not to work on gear is to find a local shop and a good tech that can. This isn't always possible either. You'll probably have to be in a larger metro area. Tube gear isn't particularly tough to work on and other than cosmetic stuff and iron all the parts are pretty easy to source. I know that this doesn't address warranty repairs by Cary but again I've heard no problems.
If you are being cautious that's good, if you have fear you can set it aside.
