Stepped attenuators, in the right setup, adds and entirely new dimension to your current setup. That's when you realize how much your preamps is just getting in the way. And causing you more problems then they are fixing.
But let me make this perfectly clear. There is NOTHING like a good preamp! But like an honest politician, they are rare and hard to find.
