Abe, I recently replaced the preamp tube (center 12AU7) in my Cronus Magnum with an NOS Mullard CV4003 that I bought from Upscale Audio. While this tube is relatively expensive I believe that the improvement in sound was worth it.

Others have reported that replacing the other small signal tubes did not yield results that made enough positive difference to be worth the effort and expense, so I'm following their advice until I have reason to doubt it.

The preamp tube is the important one, according to the folks with whom I've discussed it.
