After listening to the Hypex NC400 amps for a couple days now, I must say that they are definitely smooth and slightly warm but they seem a bit soft and perhaps rolled off up top.... a little veiled ??
I put my Sony TA-A1ES Integrated back in the system and it sounds noticeably better to me. I hear a more 'full spectrum' presentation with improved treble, better detail and transparency.
And since I prefer the Rogue Cronus Magnum tube integrated over the Sony, I can say that I'm not ready for NCore Class D, at least not the NC400s.

Hypex NCore NC400 amps. Not for me
