Very interested in the Ncore sound over here and will be going round two with a pair of NC1200 amps in a week or so.
I cannot figure out exactly why those who have tried both significantly prefer the NC1200 over the NC400, assuming the extra power is not needed. The NC400 measures very similar except the NC1200 has higher power and a little higher SN ratio but both have vanishing low output impedance, which is one reason I believe they sound better than other Class D offerings, along with very low distortion that is not affected by frequency.
I will be curious to hear more about your audition Abe, after the amps have had a chance to warm up and settle in to your system, and...after you have had a chance to become accustomed to their sound. BTW, nice pictures, as usual.
