I have an Audio Research SP16 tube preamp. Recently I noticed an irritating "buzz" coming from the speakers either when music is not playing or during quiet music passages. Since the preamp tubes had considerable play time (and were several years old). I replaced them. In the past, this resolved the "buzz" problem. But not this time.
I would appreciate any thoughts as to the possible cause of the problem. Thank you kindly.
