I've read a lot of praise for the C-4, earlier than the C-65. Since the 4 is full featured, I got it for a very nice price and I can recap it, I want to hear how it compares to some decent gear. I'll know soon enough the caps arrived today.
The discussion about the C-4 included one that prefers it to the C-2(x) and other preamps from Yamaha but he is a Yamaha fan and knows how to work on the gear. The construction of the C-4 is very nice. Solid, no plastic, makes me prefer it to later gear but this one is here and we'll see.
