RE: First thing to do!! Clean the 'tape monitor' switch!!

This is an older receiver, and it is equipped with a tape monitor switch on the front panel, at least that is what appears to be the case when I googled the model number.

It is quite common for the monitor switch to develop some corrosion due to lack of use. This can cause one or both channels to stop working.

If you operate the switch vigorously a few times, you may hear the channel pop in and out. Maybe not- but the tape monitor switch is the first thing to try when you have one channel out on a unit like this.
