I use tubes and have had a brickwall for over a decade. Great unit and because it is not strictly sold as a boutique audio product it is sanely priced (at least when I bought mine-and paid extra for the isolation feature).

I cannot compare as it is the only unit I have ever used but it has been a very reassuring and reliable piece of gear and I feel it was money well spent.
