Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

Does anyone have any information on this amp, besides what is posted at manley.com? Any reviews? I can't really find anything out about this amp. I did download the manual...

I know there was also a VTL Stereo 75; is this the same amp? I see a variety of tubes, from 6550's to Ei KT-90's. I see in the manual that it uses 'special' Russian 6550A's -- what was so special? Did this amp have a particularly high plate voltage or something? I see these pictured with EI KT90's -- does this change the bias setting and to what?

Can this amp also be changed to triode mode? Anyone know anything about stability with Quad ESL's (57's)?
