I replaced the volume pot on my Berning Siegfried amp. The original pot is decent quality but nothing special. The new Dact stepped attenuator made a substantial difference. I was actually quite surprised at the improvement in transparency,detail, and micro dynamics. The only concern is the shaft is larger than the existing hole so it must be enlarged. It is a relatively inexpensive upgrade with no downside I can detect. Highly recommended for Siegfried and ZH-270 amps.
