Developing a short list for amplifier candidates.

The speaker in question has a somewhat warm presentation, akin to the prototypical British sound of the 80's lets say. Actually they are Hawthorne Audio 10" Sterling Silver Isis coax drivers, with a pair of 10" Auggies each side driven by their own plate amp. Efficiency is kind of high at 94db, and crossover simple at 6db per octave on both drivers. But this speaker does not take well to a 300B SET amplifier, the sound is just a bit too full and laid back.

Lets here some candidates and reasons for their choice. going to the used market is fine, and we want to keep the price under $1.5K.
