RE: Sony TA-A1ES vs Yamaha A-S2000 Integrated Amps ?

Others have commented that the XA30.5 has plenty of power as it is under spec'd at 30wpc and continues to double it's power at 4 Ohms with more to spare. However, I've seen many XA30.5's up for sale, more than other Pass models, and I've always suspected that it just wasn't powerful enough for many real world speakers.

Not in the same league as the XA30.5, but I owned the Pass Aleph 3 and the newer Pass Labs 30 "Volksamp". Both seemed a little soft and dynamically challenged even on my easy to drive Tannoy D500's. I preferred the larger non Class A Pass X150 and X150.5.

Thanks for your comments on the Yamaha amps. I found a good deal on the Sony TA-A1ES integrated and decided to buy it but if it doesn't work out in my system, I'll be looking at the Yamaha amps next.
