It is a base unit not a soundbar. Thought I'd strike while the sale was on. It has a specific Dialog Enhancer eq setting that works just fine for these old ears as well as a few other settings like Dolby Digital & a volume leveler( for loud ads or surfing channels). So far so good, I like it.
