Interesting. Thanks for the info. The last Hypex based amp I heard was quite some time ago in the Channel Island Audio D100.
The last couple B&O ICEpower based amps, including a current model from a well known manufacturer, were not quite what I wanted to hear in the bass region. The bass was deep and dynamic but not very well defined. For example, it was difficult to hear distinct differences in the lowest notes from the large upright bass.
Surprisingly, my tube amps were better which is the opposite of what I was expecting since Class D is often touted as having excellent bass. I might have to try a recent Hypex based amp.
