You don't know what function the wires are serving. If they are at least 18 gauge, that is good enough for 16 amps of current when used for chassis wiring, per the American Wire Gauge system ampacity table. The resistance of a few inches of wire is insignificant. A lot of the mass in "anaconda" speaker cables is dielectric material/filler.
