Massively paralleled op-amps output stage, assuming your question was about technology.
Perhaps even some BC followers my be unaware that BC's TOTL Series 200 amplifiers also feature op-amps in the output stage, only high power versions, so a more traditional number of devices, superficially similar to other SS designs.
Those power op-amps have used by BC well before the Series 200, e.g. my BC8 monoblocks. If fact they appeared in most BC power amps for some time, a massive increase cost of the device was part of the motivation to move to other designs in recent years. Not to say that the NSL fits in the "substitute" category, hardly, it can be attributed to the designer's willing to venture to places few would dare go.
