Sound Quest SQ-84 V2 tube amp, used as a power amp

The Sound Quest SQ84 V2 is a nice little 15wpc tube integrated amp and headphone amp. Two inputs, remote control, 15wpc from 6v6 tubes. Wonderful mid-range, very coherent, very musical.

I've used mine as an integrated amp running speakers in a small room, but I usually use it as a headphone amp.

Last night I put it in my main system running my Harbeth P3ESR's. Used the output of my Rogue Perseus Magnum to run it, so I'm using the volume pot on that.

Sound is pretty amazing. Not loads of bass obviously, and the volume limits you'd expect running a 15wpc amp into a very inefficent speaker. But on classical guitar, Norah Jones, etc, the sound is absolutely AMAZING.

I think this setup with a subwoofer would be hard to beat for the money.
