RE: Amplifier Modifications

While in theory all that is needed to increase the input impedance is a greater resistance between input and ground, in practice it would be necessary to know what the actual circuit topology is before making any kind of definitive statement.

I find that it is very common on these forums to find those who are attempting to fix a problem that doesn't exist. I would start by asking: what is the current input impedance of the amp and what exactly is the output impedance of the preamp that you wish to mate to it?
