RE: Emotive - yeah or nah

I ran an Emotiva XPA-5 with my Pioneer Elite AVR in my Magnepan IIIa 5.1 system without any issues. Definitely an excellent product for home theater applications. Sounds better than my old Parasound HCA-1205A 5-channel amp in home theater or two-channel. A little more forward sounding with more authority in the bass department vs. the Parasound. Comparing it to my Pioneer's internal amp, there is no comparison in low or high level listening. More detail, wider soundstage and less harsh on the highs. The Emotiva is an excellent value and can easily compete with anything in the mid-fi range.
