I'm in a very similar situation. I'm driving MG 12s(with modified crossover) with a McCormack DNA-1. I'm using a TAD-150 tubed pre.and a Raysonic CD 128. Recently on a whim I bought an Axiom passive pre($160.00 W/Caddock resistors)I just got it today and on first listen it's extremely clean, clear ,and accurate.I'll report back as I listen more, but for the money how can you go wrong!!! You have to supply some basic system info and they either have it in stock or build it for you.
