NAD 3220PE worth buying (used)?

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

Said to be in good working condition except for, from what the seller says, something like this -

I'm doing a few searches here and there, but in the meantime I thought I'd post here. How much would you guys pay for it, tops? I'd be using it exclusively for vinyl (well, 99.9% exclusively - I might hook up a computer or MP3 player once or twice, but very seldom) with a decent-quality turntable.

I don't have any speakers yet and probably won't for a few months, as I'm moving around - will probably get by with headphones until I find a decent pair (of speakers, heehee) at a good price. Rooms will more likely be tiny to small-ish.

What kind of 'sound' will this thing give? I had a NAD cassette deck a few years back that sounded pretty awesome...
